If you’re new to living in Tampa apartments, you’re going to find out that coming home on a hot summer night and cooking can be a real pain in the neck. Nothing heats up a home faster than having to run a stove or oven. To beat the heat and enjoy your evenings in a more leisurely fashion, it’s a good idea to have some no-bake recipes on hand.

No Bake Dinner Ideas

From dinners and desserts to other healthy treats, it is possible to go many days without ever turning on a stove or using an appliance that will heat up the apartment. To spare yourself the sweat, try these ideas for cool dinners and desserts:

Salads – Summertime in Tampa is the perfect time to go in for easy cooking. When it comes to quick and easy dinner recipes, it’s hard to beat a healthy salad recipe. To make a meal of the venture without having to turn on the stove, try adding deli meats, pre-made chicken strips, pre-cooked seafood and more. Just pick up some extra fixings like tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots and croutons to really enjoy a great dinner. A side of bread and butter can go great, too.

Sandwiches – If you’re looking for quick and easy dinner recipes, take some lessons from the local deli. Whether it’s a traditional Tampa Cuban sandwich you want to make or just a ham on rye, this “main course” can satisfy and beat the heat in the process. The combination of spreads, toppings and meats are endless to create a delicious dinner with a simple sandwich recipe.

Italian – Go Italian one night. But, instead of heating up your kitchen with boiling pasta pots and sauce pans, set up a spread of antipasti. Antipasto means “before a meal” in Italian, and it’s the type of things that you might set out as an hors d’oeuvre or appetizers. Antipasto can include foods such as cured cold deli meats like salami or prosciutto, assortments of cheeses, bruschetta, olives and cold vegetables.

Desserts – Easy cooking can extend to desserts, as well. No bake dessert recipes abound. From ice cream sundaes to some instant pudding creations and beyond, it’s not tough to find cool recipes that are perfect for those with a sweet tooth. To go a bit more “fancy” try picking up a prepared pie crust, pudding and whipped cream for an instant chocolate or vanilla pie.

From quick and easy dinner recipes to no bake dessert recipes, you’ll find there are lots of options for eating well without burning down the house. And, meals with out fried foods or large portions of meat are always healthier and figure friendly. If you’re creative enough, you can go the whole summer (or close to it) without ever turning on a stove.
